Silos, Secrets, and Silence by Mary Anne Totten

This is a memoir of living with and surviving the demons of alcoholism and
achieving forgiveness. The author had a difficult upbringing, but was able
to achieve a medical degree and practiced medicine for over forty years. Despite
decades of emotional estrangement, she reached inner peace and reconciliation
with her mother. She was able to break through the wall of noncommunication
